Born in the year of 1991 in Stockholm, Alessandro Lindblad made his claim to fame in the year of 2011 with his own original productions and some ferocious remixes. Most notable his remix of Nadia Ali, Starkillers & Alex Kenji‘s “Pressure” was one of the most played EDM songs of 2011. Shortly after, Alesso debuted his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix in March of 2012 (posted in the Essential tab). I first heard of him from Ames awhile back, I was complaining about not being able to see Swedish House Mafia at EDC Vegas 2012. However, Ames said “screw Swedish House Mafia, check out this Alesso kid. He’s way better anyways.” and damn was he right! I mean, he is Sebastian Ingrosso‘s apprentice, but I still think he has been playing better sets and producing better songs than the Mafia in the past year. Alesso slays the progressive house, bringing some of the best house sets I have ever listened to and seen! I was able to watch him live at EDC Vegas 2012, 4AM main stage, first night. Kaskade played right before him and had a huge crowd and to my amazement after his set, more than half the crowd left. My only explanation for this is that Kaskade‘s smooth trance must have put everyone to sleep (*cough *cough Ames). It actually ended up great for me as I got to see this man rage all the way up front! NastyTrack crew plans on hitting up the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago, where we will catch Alesso‘s set!
“Raise your Head” is a great song with an absolutely dirty beat, bringing me back to the rave days with that epic streak in it!
Alesso vs Dune‘s “Heiress of Valentina” starts off with some amazing vocals then drops into a great feel good house beat!
Alesso‘s remix of LMFAO “Party Rock Anthem” is excellent as he completely renovates the song! I really notice the difference because my ears were not bleeding after I listened to it!

I took two clips from his EDC New York set, just to give you a glimpse of his greatness, live! “Years” is an Alesso original, this song is amazing and showcases some of his production talent! He also remixes REM‘s “Losing My Religion“, which I may have to note as my favorite of the lot!
